The mac side is fine. After reading and watching so many youtube videos can't believe after all these years no one has a solution for this.
Apple bootcamp support doesn't even come close to the fix. I have a 2011Late Macbook pro using High Sierra os windows 7 64bit..speaker work but no headphone at all???
Most of the Apple Macs have a combined Digital/Analog combination jack with a microswitch which allows one or the other type of output. If you see a faint red light, then analog output will not work properly. You can gently insert the analog headphone jack into the receptacle one or more times, and see if you can turn off the light.
Do you get proper audio from the internal speakers? If yes, is there a faint red light in the Audio port?
Do you have the same issue on the macOS side?
