Why won't Hoover Products with the One touch app only work on android and not work on IOS?

Answer to my email to Hoover.

Good Afternoon

Thank you for your email, unfortunately the One touch App will only work on Androids.

If you are not happy with this please contact Apple.

Thank you

Quite bluntly, that’s an idiotic response from Hoover. It’s Hoover’s software and the only one who can produce an iOS version would be Hoover. Independent software developers are solely responsible for their own products and for what operating systems they build them for.

Thank you for your reply. As you quite rightly stated the The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were the first Apple iPhone mobile phones with NFC technology built in. However they cannot read NFC tags, which store and transfer information. As per the information from the Internet the Iphone 7 was to have this capability added, however this does not seem to have happened. Therefore we would refer you Apple and ask them when they intend to add the NFC tag so that your able to use the one touch app.

We do hope this has answered your query however please do not hesitate in coming back to us if needed.

To add to this -Apple recently opened their NFC technology and any iPhones that are iPhone 7 or later and in the latest software can now use their NFC on other things aside from Apple Pay. For example the Libre Sensor. Hoover now have the ability to update their app and allow iPhone 7 (and above) users to have the same access as Android users 😡😡😡

"Unfortunately the situation remains the same Apple phones cannot read NFC tags, which store and transfer information. This is something that is advised on all NFC compatible appliances manufactured by us and we do advise they will not connect to an iphone. I appreciate your reply however we cannot update anything to make it work the onus is on Apple. "

Kind regards
