Question: Changed log in on computer but wont change on iphone

Cant change my apple log in on phone after changing it on laptop. Still shows old log in. So now I cant change it and the password ofcourse wont work and I csnt therefore use apps. Very frustrating!

Go to Settings > Apple ID, iTunes, iCloud and App Store

Tap your Apple ID

Sign out

Sign back in with the correct ID


Please note: If you fully changed your Apple ID, all apps downloaded on the previous ID are tied to that ID forever. When they need to be updated, you will HAVE to enter the Apple ID password they were downloaded under, so make sure you keep that password handy. Or you can delete those apps and repurchase them under your new ID. If all you did was change your Apple ID Password, this won't apply.

Sadly it has not entirely worked.

So on my phone

settings>ITunes and App Store are in the same location and the ID has changed.


But the Icloud ID, which is in settings above Itunes and App Store , has remained the same. I would dearly like to change them all so that they are all the same. Do you know how I can change the Icloud ID?

Your iCloud ID and your Apple ID should be the same. If they are not, here's how you can sign out of your iCloud ID, then you'll sign in with new Apple ID:


First you'll need to remove the existing iCloud account that is in use on the iOS device:


  1. Open the Settings app and go to “iCloud”
  2. Scroll down under all the settings to find “Delete Account” (or “Sign Out”) and tap on that.
  3. Confirm the removal of the iCloud account from the device by tapping on “Delete” or “Sign Out”
