Find original media source?

Hello,

I am looking for some travel photos that I used to make a montage. In my FCP, the files are missing and I do not remember where they were (USB key, hard drive, SD card, etc.). So I wondered if it was possible to see the file's allias redirects to which source exactly. Is it possible?

As I understand it the alias is a shortcut to the original file. Is it possible to know where the alias decides to go looking for the photo?

Thank you.

If you click on a missing file in the FCPX browser and then go to the menu File > Relink Files, the panel that opens will show the file path where FCP expected to find the file:
