Question: Edit Live Pix From A Mac Book Pro? HELP!

Hi all,

Please excuse me with this question as i am a bit of a novice!

When i take a live picture on my iPhone, obviously i can edit the picture, so i can pick exactly where i want the picture to be if that makes sense? i can use the slider to see the live picture and i can pick and choose where to stop the slider and make change the original picture to one that was point 3 seconds earlier.

Can you not do this on the mac book? can you only do this on the iPhone?

i can see i can edit the colours an contrast etc on the mac book, but not where i can see the actual ''live'' and edit it..

really hope that makes sense what i am asking lol

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 9.2.1

It's dependent on the version of iOS and macOS you are running, the original format of the Live Photo, and the transfer method from the phone to the Mac.

Photos 3.0 (on macOS High Sierra 10.13.x) can select a new still from an HEIC Live Photo taken with iOS 11 and transferred via iCloud Photo Library.
