Applications Not Responding

Very slow starting up.

When I launch ANY application after start up I get the spinning beach ball and when I hold down the icon in the dock it says "Application Not Responding".

Eventually it will start after a long time.

I looked for the .plist for the corresponding application to trash the files,

but couldn't find them in the Library.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.2)

Deleted application won't disappear from dock (not responding) I deleted an application and it's files using appcleaner, but it won't disappear from the dock. It used to be a damaged file that I had opened before but it wouldn't close. It doesn't show up on terminal, force quit, and using automator couldn't close it. I can't hide the icon or show the application. I've never had this issue before, so please help!

dragging icon to dock won't open file if the app is already open 2020 M1 MBA running 11.3.1 when I drop a document on an app icon in the dock, the file doesn't open if the app is running. Instead I get the below image - which seems to be a list of past documents the app has opened. If the app is closed the document opens normally. I tried disabling "Force Click" on the trackpad, following another thread on the help board, but that didn't work. If an app is **not** running dragging a document onto the dock icon works normally.

Monterey dock icons not working I recently upgraded to Monterey and now the dock icons do not function. I must go into my applications folder, find the software and run it from there. The launchpad remains permanently loading applications but never resolves with loaded applications. Shutting down and resetting PRAM fixes the issue - until the next day when I attempt to log in again. A few days ago, the dock disappeared entirely, perhaps a related issue.
