I am experiencing slow Safari browser loading and crashing of my internet. I my OS is 10.13.3. This is on my iMac 27 in. All my other devices are fine except when I have my iMac on the internet. It brings all my internet enabled devices to a halt.

I am on an iMac with OS High Sierra 10.13.3

When I am using Safari my connection speed is very slow or crashes after a couple minutes.

On shut down of my computer if my email is open it will cause the shut down to stall. I can over ride it by force quitting my apple mail program. The computer will then shut down.

I have dumped my cache in my Safari browser. Eliminated old links that are no longer needed. I have gone into preferences for Safari and have turned off Safari recommend

Nothing obvious jumps out at me. Hopefully, someone else will jump in.

You do have a lot of things loaded. With performance problems, I should have already suggested a safe boot.

Try a safe boot.

Shutdown your machine. Hold down the shift key. Poweron. The boot up will take longer than normal because the filesystem on the startup drive is being checked and repaired as needed. All about safe mode including what features and apps safe boot leaves out.

While I don't think it is likely you have a drive issue, try:

You should run disk utility

Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility

a) verify the disk

b) update your permissions. [ I don't think this exists in 10.13. ]

could your internet be slow? run goto speedof.me and run a speed test.

other than this, it will be a trial and error process. maybe you could define a new user and see if their was some type of preference issue. ... unlikely ... Definitely try another browser ... low ...
