Numbers: how can I gather various numbers referred to same item (such as same kind of cost in a balance sheet)?
How can I get the sum of various figures of a large spread sheet referred to the same cost center ?

Hi Mauzanna,
Take a look at SUMIF and SUMIFS in the function browser.
To open the browser, click on any (empty) cell, then type =
The Function Browser will open in the right sidebar.
Click on the search box at the top of the browser pane and type sum
As you type, a changing list will appear in the space below the search box.
Click on SUMIF when it appears, and you'll get a description plus at least one example showing how that function might be used in a spreadsheet.
Double clicking the function name in the list will insert the function (and its prompts) into the Formula Editor, also opened when you typed = above.
