How to split devices into separate accounts

My sister and I share an apple ID account. I have an iphone, macbook, and ipad which are all synced together through icloud. My sister has an iphone and a macbook which are connected to my apple id, and i believe my icloud id as well. My first thought was to make her a new, personal apple id, but then she would lose the music,apps,pictures registered to my apple id. Is there anyway I can create a subaccount that can still access music and apps from my apple id without sharing anything else or should i set her up with a separate icloud account? My main concern is having her lose their contacts, pictures or calendars if I switch them to new iclouds? I really don't have a single clue what to do. Please help.

Hi!

Sharing an Apple ID account is never a good idea, and that is what you guys are experiencing here. There is no way to create a "subaccount", however there is a possibility to share purchases, storage, location (on maps) and some calenders using Apple's family sharing feature.

In regards to other content, like contacts, reminders, notes and other, there is no way to "share" this. She maybe would have to export her contacts out of iCloud, and then into her account, in some way. If you have a Mac, this is rather simple, by using the Contacts app: https://support.apple.com/guide/contacts/export-and-archive-contacts-adrbdcfd32e 6/mac

Regarding your photos, this can't be transfered either, but easily shared between accounts. If needed, export and import to her account: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201302

It might be a pain at first, but I really think it will be worth it when you have separate accounts.
