Hi, recently transferred all CD library to Mac, then copied it all across to a USB memory stick, so that it can be listened to in car. However, recently I tried to transfer new material to the USB stick, but it is no longer being recognised by my Mac when inserted into any of the USB ports on the bar. Seems like it has been unformatted for use on the Mac, although it is still recognised in the car. Any ideas?

By "USB ports on the bar" do you mean a USB hub? If it still works in the car, trying plugging it directly into the iMac.
if one eject usb sticks physically it can corrupt them and one needs to format and start over
usb with music content no longer recognised by mac
