Jack trs on iMac mid 2011

Hello everyone,

I have purchased headset with trs jack but if I use the headset with Windows (Bootcamp), the headeset's microphone doesn't work. My iMac is a mid 2011. The audio card is Cirrus Logic CS4206B (AB 32).

Is it a limit hardware or software (driver)? Thank you very much for the help.

iMac 2021 headphone jack I am wanting to plug a microphone into my New 2021 iMac to record a podcast. I have a bluetooth headset with plug in capabilities and I also have a stand microphone. Neither of them work when plugged into the headphone jack on the left side of the iMac. What do I need, OR how can I use my microphones with my iMa?

Bootcamp Windows 10 won't recognize headset So I'm running Bootcamp Windows 10 on my iMac 27" (Late 2013) and bought a headset with a built-in microphone. (beyerdynamic MMX 300 (2nd Generation)). There is a microphone and audio 3.5 mm jack and obviously would not work unless I bought a y adapter, which I have done. The y adapter works perfectly fine on my iPhone 6s and on MacOS (Mojave) and I'm able to use the built-in microphone. Now, the problem is on Windows. It still only recognizes the headset as regular headphones with no built-in microphone. I'm not sure what to do, any help would be appreciated. Thank you. :)
