How to turn off in imassage email name for the name of sender

When friend send me an imassage, and he’s saved in my contact list, name of that friend is showing up with the name of his emali. How to turn off that?

Remove ''reachable at'' email addressed from Apple ID I cannot remove the reachable at email addressed that I no longer use that are still associated with my apple ID. The support page said to go to settings and change it but you can't do that from your MAC nor your IOS device. Help!
