Can you replace a battery on 2012 Mac book air

I want to replace the battery on my mac Book air but it’s from 2012. Is it possible to do this without having to buy a new laptop?

I would also like to add more memory to it. Is that possible, or do you just need to use an external for a computer this old?

The battery in a Macbook Air is easy to replace, despite of what Apple says. Just make sure you get exactly the right battery for your Macbook Air. Also, remember to get the right tools. You need a Pentalobe 5 screwdriver to remove the bottom case, and a Torx 5 screwdriver to remove the battery. These guides shows you how to replace your battery.
