After iphone 8 reinstall, messages INFO missing

iPh 8 iOS 11.2.6, had to reinstall from backup. All contacts there, yet when inside Messages app, if hit Info button (i with circle around it), then right arrow it's all blank. Also listings of prior messages only shows phone numbers and can't seem to get names to reappear in Messages. How to get it all back? See pics.
