Can someone help?

Every time I go to update or download an app it asks me to update my payment method, the particular app is free so I was confused. I resorted to YouTube as I do for everything and it told me to turn my billing info to “none” but my phone doesn’t have a “none” option and now I’m not sure what to do. I NEED HELP!!
