Not getting emails on iPhone email app

Hello,

I primarily use Gmail, but wanted to try using Apples email app. I’m not getting most of my emails in the Apple email app, double checked the passwords and made sure it was setup correctly, still a lot of my emails don’t come through. I sent myself an email and it didn’t come through, but it did show up it gmail.
