Touchscreen not working on iPad air

My iPad Air overheated and now the touchscreen won't work.I tried doing a soft reset holding the power and home button down simultaneously . It did not resolve the issue. Is there anything else that can be done. Thank you.

Touchscreen non responsive Earlier today my husband received an overheating message on our iPad. It promptly shut itself down. He immediately brought it inside to cool off. The iPad will charge, it seems to have suffered no ill effects except the touchscreen will not respond. It is an iPad Air 2. I have installed iTunes on our laptop to see if I can talk to it. I have done the reboot thing about ten times, no joy. Any thoughts???

touchscreen not working due to ios update and overheating hello. i have a ipad mini from 2015. there was an ios update and clicked on it to install. after that the ipad got hotter and hotter, to the extreme and a black screen appeared with the notice that the ipad is overheating. i could not switch it off or do anything, put in on the table and after a couple of minutes it had cooled down. but since then, the touchscreen is not working anymore. i did a hard reset and eventually connected it to my pc for a factory reset. now the ipad is asking for the country, but still tocuh is not working. has anyone else encountered this problem and has a solution? due to the extreme heat, can the touch be damaged? but starting a ios update can't cause the ipad to overheat?! the ipad is six years old, but was still working well :-(

Have you let it cool down before you tried to restart it?

Yes I have, from placing it in the refrigerator for 1 minute to being in an AC room overnight. Its been a day and still nothing...
