Weird opening screen with multiple languages

My MacBook Pro has a strange opening screen all of the sudden. It is window with multiple languages scrolling in the background. It then says press enter for English. Never had this window appear before. I'm afraid it is a virus.

No, it's a sign of a kernel panic or a hardware failure. It isn't a virus.

You should read Mac OS X- How to log a kernel panic to see if there is a new log entry you can copy and paste here for use to see. Of course, this requires rebooting the computer. If you are unable to do that then make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple.

Yes, the multi-lingual screen may scroll. I've seen it do so once or twice. The screen isn't an announcement of a kernel panic but that the computer has failed for an unknown reason. Need to restart it. If the same screen persists then likely there has been a major hardware failure. But the misstart may also be the result of a kernel panic. However, the panic may not make it to the log.
