iTunes starts by itself on my Mac OS X

Hi,

I have been dealing with this problem for months, without a solution. I have seen many people on forums discussing it, but no fix at all (only palliative solutions).

The problem is: iTunes starts playing a song by itself randomly when I am using my Mac Mini (OS X 10.10.5). If you close it, after some minutes it starts playing again. After closing it repeatedly many times, it stops.

I have already tried many possible "fixes" that I have searched on Internet:

a) disabled the option "automatic sync with iPhone, iPod" at Preferences

b) disabled Bluetooth

c) No alarm clock widget or iTunes widget

I don't have or use any remote control with the Mac. And I don't plug any headphones. Still, iTunes continues to open by itself.

Has anyone faced this problem and solved it?

Thanks

OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Check:

System Preferences > Users & Groups > [Your Account] > Login Items

Be certain iTunes is not listed there.
