I have a seamless audio loop. How can I loop this audio in iMovie without it making a popping sound right when it loops?

Hey all,

I'm trying to figure this out. I have a seamless audio loop, which means if I play it back or loop it in Logic Pro X, it plays back perfectly without anyone being able to hear that it's a loop. But when I open it in iMovie and copy/paste it, I hear a pop as if there is a very tiny gap between the audio file starting over. I think this might be caused by the audio fades, but I can't figure out how to remove them.

Anyone know what I can do?

Thanks!

Hi, Hayden,

I don't know what the cause of the popping is, that didn't exist in your other program. However, you could just edit out the "pop". Expand you time line out all the way using the slider next to the settings button on the right hand side of your screen above the timeline. Find where the pop is. Split the clip and trim out the pop.

Or, instead of looping you could duplicate the audio clip as many times as necessary and line them up continuously in the audio timeline.

Thanks Rich!

I actually figured out what the issue was. I had no idea there is a specific place you are supposed to drag the audio, and I was dragging it right under the picture I was using instead of dragging it to the place specifically for audio. Once I put it in the audio region it worked just fine. I'm a total newbie when it comes to this stuff, haha. Thanks for the response, hopefully one of our comments helps someone in the future!
