Best Ways to Search Mail on iMac

I am trying to find messages with specific text in the body of the message. I tried typing the text, nothing. I tried "Entire Message:text", nothing. I read the help and get real frustrated when the help doesn't help. Thanks

How can I search for text in mail on Mac Hi. I have a Mac Mini. I am looking for an email on gmail via the mail app on my Mac. In the Apple mail app, there is a search window, but there is no option there to search for text in the e-mails, so a search brings up too many irrelevant results. The help info I have found online shows the search box with various options, but my search box has no options. The search works, but I cannot find any way to refine it, to look for the required info within the message itself. Why am I not seeing the other search options, and what can I do to make it work? Thank you for your help.

mail search function does not work Hi, The search function in mail never seems to be able to find the mails I need. When I search on the webpage of gmail I can immediately find the mails I want. I don't understand the problem. I have already tried the following hints: Problemen met het vinden van de juiste e-mails in Mail op de Mac - Apple Support (NL) But nothing helps. any ideas ?
