authoring dvds

I am still using dvds, unlike many people now. There is still a need for me to author dvds with bespoke menus and to add buttons, text and design at that stage of the process. Can anyone tell me what is out there, for the mac platform, comparable to the defunct DVD studio pro?

Looking for a good DVD player app for iMacs I watch movies my iMac from DVDs. The latest updates on iOS apparently did away with my ability to use the DVD player app that come with the Macs. I have a brand new Mac M1, and it cannot play my old DVDs -or my new ones either. I was told by an Apple adviser to download a DVD player app from the internet, and he suggested VLC. I downloaded VLC, but the visual quality is awful: my DVD movies that used to play sharp, crisp and color-balanced are playing fuzzy and in awful colors with VLC. No visual pleasure there. And I don't see settings in the VLC app that can be tweaked for higher visual experience. I need a quality DVD player app! Who can recommend me a good app for my purpose? Thank you.

Playing a previously created DVD-R on my MacBook Pro running High Sierra I want to play a previously created DVD (in 2012) on my 17" MacBook Pro running OS High Sierra. When I put the DVD into the drive on the side, it shows up on my desktop, but when I go to play it, there is no sound and the images are showing only in the left third of the screen and only about five play over and over. How do I play the movie I created back in the day?

create DVDs with menus in 2018? Hi all, I need to create playable DVDs with menus.The DVD creator apps on the App Store look out of date and have been poorly reviewed.I have found iSkysoft DVD creator to be buggy.Is Roxio still a viable option in this day and age?They do not offer a trial version of their Roxio Toast so I am hesitant.Any thoughts?Mike
