- Using computer to configure
Mac, or PC? We ask because AirPort Utility is different on a Mac compared to a PC.
- Model A1392
So, you are saying that your "main" router is also another AirPort Express, correct? In other words, you have 2 AirPort Express devices?
- The connection i tried could be another airport, but now I can't tell for sure as i've messed up and can't find the device.
You have told us that you have 2 AirPort Express devices, correct? So, your "main" AirPort is an AirPort Express and the device that will extend the network is also another AirPort Express, correct?
For now, power off the "extender" completely and work on getting the "main" Airport Express back so that it will appear in AirPort Utility. Power off both the modem and the "main" AirPort Express, wait a few seconds, and then power them up again.
If the "main" AirPort still will not appear, then you will have to start over and set it up again. Once the "main" AirPort is up and running, then we can set up the second AirPort Express to extend the first.
