Imessage, Not able to log into imessage for send and receive section

On my iphone 5s i have activated Imessages, I then want to log in to my apple id for the send and recieve section so that i can use it on mac. All that is shown on the send and receive menu is where i can be reached and that is my phone number. above that i click Use your Apple Id for Imessage. This blue text goes gray and waits for 20 seconds then says there was an error during activation.


I have tried reseting my network settings.

I have tried waiting 24 hours.

I have been connected to wifi the whole time.


My main goal would be so that i can use my apple id for imessage. I wish to log into my messages app on my macbook and use see all my messages as well as reply to them.

Hello Marius116

The IMessage just only can pair between IPhone and IPhone and it’s used under your cellulite number phone. Although your Ipad have SIM card but it’s not IPhone. How to accept and pair. This action so strange. I thinking you can’t to do this as you want, so sorry. But remember first want to sign in your ID ICloud on signing in IPhone to another place now must you sign out it first. At least it did not make you trouble.
