Problem with os maverick installation

In order to clean install is Mavericks, I have formatted my hard drive and started the installation process. but the computer gets freezed during the “preparing to install” phase each time,and the beach ball of death appears. No matter how long I wait ,the computer does not recovers from this standstillness. I have tried several times but in each case I met with a similar fate.please help
