I need help to move my os system from my toshiba hdd to a new sdd

I have a 2011 early Mac Pro and I need to move my os system with Sierra to a new ssd from my hdd toshiba . I have a Lacie rikki with 320 gb. So can someone please help me with a step by step nning? I backed up the system but I’m not sure if I did it correctly. I know I need a bootable version of my system. So should I reformat my Lacie and back

up my system and partition my old drive I’m lost help ?
