Question: AirDrop is Hiding My Files?

Whenever I transfer a photo or file via AirDrop from my iPhone to my computer it will complete successfully; however, when I open the downloads folder to find the file I see nothing. After enabling hidden files via terminal I am able to view the file in the downloads folder with the prefix, ".filtered" If I remove the prefix it will show up in the normal view. Has anyone else run into this? Is there fix to this issue?
