cant connect to icloud

Ive just updated to High sierra.

now when im using the computer I have a constant message coming up, This mac cant connect to icloud because there was a problem with "email address"

so I chnaged my password in case I had made a mistake.

but thats not the issue

I can use the password to enter this forum or sign in elsewhere.

It says to open icloud preferences to fix. so I do

Says enter password.

I do.

then the answer comes up an unknown error has occured!!!

***?


Any advice?

it wont stop popping up over my work no matter how many times i tell it to **** off

Ok thank you for that but it didnt really help

I still cant access icloud after all i went through everything you discussed


I can def log in with that password to icloud.com

but when i try to log in to icloud under system dpreferences the same happens

"account details could not be opened because of an error connecting to icloud"


Pretty dumb

Use iCloud.com while performing all of this!

-- USING YOUR CLIPBOARD TO COPY-AND-PASTE YOUR PASSWORD --


  1. Disconnect: from the Internet
  2. Then: Type-Copy-and-Cut your Password
  3. Reconnect: to the Internet
  4. Use: Password
  5. Clear: Clipboard

Then see if it works!

NOTES:


-- CLEARING BROWSER'S TEMPORARY FILES --

  1. Open: Safari
  2. Open: History
  3. Click: Clear History
  4. Select: "All History"
  5. Click: "Clear History"




-- USING PASSWORD --

  1. Disconnect: from the Internet
  2. Type: [your password] somewheres, somehow
  3. Highlight: [What You Typed]
  4. Cut: [What You Typed]
  5. Reconnect: to the Internet
  6. Reenter:iCloud.com
  7. Type: [User Name]
  8. Press: Enter
  9. Paste: [What You Typed]
  10. Press: Enter



-- ERASING YOUR CLIPBOARD --

  1. Open: Terminal
  2. Type: pbcopy < /dev/null
  3. Press: Enter
