You should be able to log out via System Preferences > iCloud and back in with the updated version of the account : What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support
What exactly are you trying to do, where are you trying to do it (your tagline says iMac but then says it's on iOS), and what happens when you do it ?
Hi King, it’s a desktop MAC, I changed my Apple ID but I am unable to access iCloud as it is still utilising my old ID.
