iPhone Recent Calls Not Working

I open PHONE on my iPhone 7 Plus, and tap RECENTS. I see a list of phone numbers but "No Recents" is super-imposed on the screen. When I press "i" on the far right of the listed number, I no longer get detailed info about the call; I ma prompted to call that number, text it, add to contacts. Also, I cannot delete the number by swiping right-to-left. What is the problem or, more importantly, what is the solution?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.2.6

Hey there, jec00k,

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I see you're having some trouble with your Recent calls list. Specifically, when you open Phone > Recent, you see a list of your recent calls, but also see a "No Recents" notification. In addition, you're not getting the expected options when you tape the info "i" to the right of the call, and you can't swipe to delete. I"m happy to help make sure you can manage your call log!

Based on what you've described, I would first recommend force closing the Phone app: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support , then restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support .

If you're still having trouble after that, I would suggest backing up your iPhone How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support , and then reinstalling the iOS software using the "Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again" section of If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support .

Have a great day!
