You do not say where you see this purchase. If it is an e-mail are you sure it is real and not an attempt to steal your private information ('phishing') (very common)?

Identifying legitimate emails from the iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2075 (the previous link is more specific)

Forward attempts to: reportphishing@apple.com

If you still think the charge is real:

See your purchase history in the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC - http://support.apple.com/HT204088 - Does not include purchases made by others under Family Sharing; those have to be checked from their accounts.

If you see ‘itunes.com/bill‘ or an unfamiliar charge on your bank, credit card, or debit statement - https://support.apple.com/HT201382 - "Before you contact Apple to request a refund for a charge you don't recognize"...

If neither you nor a family member (if applicable) has a record of this purchase and you only saw it on a statement for a card you alone control, contact your bank or card company about card fraud. Apple does not handle that.

If you recognize this purchase and are asking for a refund then realize Apple's terms of purchase in the USA are, "All Transactions are final" (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/us/terms.html), but some countries have different laws so check terms for your country at: http://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/. If sales are final then it is Apple's decision if they want to grant a refund. You can always ask, and people do get refunds on a case by case basis, but Apple can also say no.

Review recent purchases at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ or check your purchase history in iTunes and view your subscriptions. If you are the organizer of a family share check for purchases by other members.

See also If you see an unfamiliar iTunes Store or App Store charge on your bank, credit card, or debit statement - Apple Support and About payment card authorization holds in the iTunes Store - Apple Support.

If you cannot identify the payment then perhaps you are looking at a phishing email.

If there really have been purchases that you didn't authorize, or you've entered your Apple ID credentials at a fake Apple portal, see If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support, change your Apple ID password, and if possible turn on Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support.

See also Use Restrictions to prevent purchasing on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.

  • If there is no evidence of a charge on either your iTunes or bank/credit card accounts this is likely to be a phishing exercise which you should ignore.
  • If there is a charge shown under your iTunes store account and it relates to misuse of your Apple ID then you need to start a conversation with iTunes Store support to get it cancelled and refunded, change your password, and enable two-factor authentication if at all possible.
  • If it isn't connected to your own Apple ID but funds have gone from your bank or credit card account that purport to be from iTunes then the account has been compromised and you need to deal directly with your financial institution.

Apple does not ever include links to update your login information, or any link that says to dispute the charge. If you hover over that link, or copy and paste it into TextEdit, you'll see it goes absolutely nowhere associated with Apple. The entire purpose of these scams is to get you to click on that link. It will take you to a fake Apple site where the crooks will be very pleased you gave them your Apple ID and password.

In this case, the particular crook lives in Seoul (the email address). Apple has no such domain as appleinfo.com .

Yes. However, before I marked them for the hosts to edit (because each showed their email addresses), userfrombakersfield's and casa1115's were postings of an identical scam email.

casa1115 states "Has been deducted $99.99 from my account", as if it has actually happened, but that's difficult to believe since it was nothing but a scam email claiming to have made the charge.
