Lost data because of Apple

Hey guys,

While having issues with the new display adapters from apple they had me setup a second partition of Mac OSX to test the adapters on before replacing them. During this process the guy at apple told me to remove my bootcamp partition as he could walk me through restoring it as time machine covered bootcamp. Now its all been sorted and apple replaced the adapters, They claim the bootcamp is gone forever and their not liable for any data lost because of their member of staff.

Is there anything i can do to get it back ? there is endless hours of lighting design documents on there i cant simple re build without it costing me a small fortune in both travel and days off from work to go do it.

Thanks in advanced

It is your responsibility to create and maintain backups of your data. The tech was correct that you could restore from backup but he had the mechanism wrong. So the fact that you do not have a backup is not Apple's fault but yours. If you uninstalled and removed your Boot Camp partition without having a Windows backup your data is gone.
