I've selected most of my photos, in Photos and hit delete but my storage never increased. Why? How do I delete them to get space?

When I delete photos on my iPhone 6 Plus, my storage space doesn't increase. Why not?

When you delete photos from the photo album, they are moved to the Deleted folder on the phone. This gives the user 30 days to restore them if they want. Go to your recently deleted folder in the photo app and delete them there.
