Question: Apps not working/updating

I have 2.92GB available on my iphone 5c but am unable to download/update any apps. It also won't let me pull anything from my cloud. The app store tells me all apps are up to date but I have apps that are telling me I need to update them to use them. Then if I click an update in the actual app it just brings me to the app store, but doesn't update. I have 2 apps on my phone that are not usable, and I can't delete them. When I bring them up in the app store, I click on open and it does nothing. If I try to get something form my "purchased" apps, I click on the cloud, it does nothing. I also get kicked out of some apps while using them. I already did a sync/backup on my itunes. I am running IOS 10.3.3 😕 Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely, the updated versions of these apps require iOS 11, which your phone does not support.

Thanks for that input! That does make sense but for EVERY app? I checked a few of the apps and a lot of them say need iOs 8/9 or greater. Not sure if the updates need higher iOs then the actual app? But I can't even put an app that I purchased before, have since taken off my phone, back on my phone. It's so frustrating.
