iPhone X not syncing to Photos app on MacOS

Since upgrading to an iPhone X from an iPhone 7 plus, photos taken on my new phone will not sync in the photos app on my MBP. I can see the photos on iCloud.com, but not on the standalone app on my MBP.

Any suggestions?
