Amazon Prime Video Original series only Stereo

On my Apple TV (4th generation) I only get stereo sound (2.0) on Amazon Original series. All regular movies and non-Amazon TV shows all come thru in DD 5.1. So I can't tell if this is an Amazon issue or an Apple issue. All shows, including Amazon original series come thru in DD 5.1 on my Playstation 3.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the issue is and whether there area any solutions?

I was watching the fantastic series Absentia but the sound is straight 2.0 stereo. *****.

New Apple TV4K Dolby Atmos Audio Distortion on Disney+ App Have the new Apple TV 4K (had been using a previous model ATV up to now with no issues), and when we try to watch things on Disney+ it will turn on Atmos then start playing with what sounds like a low rumble and white noise over the show volume. (Only appears to happen in the Disney+ app but I’m unsure if any other apps play in Atmos but will investigate further.) I feel like the system may be trying to send a full 7.1 signal but I only have a 5.1 setup. Going into the Apple TV settings under Audio Format and switching from Auto to Dolby Digital 5.1 does fix the issue. But I’m concerned that by turning off Atmos, I’m missing out on the better audio experience. I am aware you can still play Atmos on 5.1 systems and gain benefits over a usual 5.1 audio stream. Does anyone know how Apple handles the setting? Does it convert Atmos to 5.1 while retaining the Atmos benefits? Should we be changing the audio format manually or is it best to leave it on Auto? Or perhaps this is just a bug with the Disney+ app?

Is anyone else having audio issues with Amazon Prime Video on their apple 4KTV ? I am only getting stereo when watching Amazon Prime Content through my Apple TV 4K. I have called Amazon and they tell me that it should be DD 5.1. I called apple support without any success. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. No luck there either. Help anyone!

APPLE TV 4K Dolby Digital audio Hello friends. In APPLE TV 4K Dolby Digital audio does not play. Dolby Atmos audio is working properly. In the settings of the dark is set to the sound of the atmosphere. When I log in to Netflix for a Dolby Digital audio title (5.1) my receiver (YAMAHA R-XA6A) does not recognize or receive Dolby Digital. When I enter the Atmos audio title header the receiver detects Atmos without any problem. I also have the same problem with the Samsung QN90A TV. The Apple TV is connected directly to the receiver with an HDMI cable of course ... The TV is connected to the receiver with an HDMI cable through the earc inputs. Has anyone encountered such a phenomenon? Is there a solution? Thanks.
