I figured a way: try saving the photo into ’Notes’, that way you’ll have the option to edit & name individual photos for easy organizing (for instance for me the photos are reference sources, so naming them helps a lot! There might be a number of different other apps that you could use this way).
I use Photomanager Pro 5. It's a great app for managing and organizing photos. And, yes, it allows one to edit the name of each photo.
