When I try to get an app from the App Store, my phone tells me my Apple ID has been closed.

When I try to get an app from the App Store, my phone tells me my Apple ID has been closed.Is this possibly because the credit card associated with my Apple ID was compromised in the account closed. My husband and I received a new credit card with new numbers. Could that possibly be my problem?

Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security - https://support.apple.com/HT204169 "This article provides country-specific Apple Support contact information for customers seeking help with their Apple ID password or other security-related issues." Better for directly reporting an issue.
