PLEASE HELP SOFTWARE UPDATE.

I am trying to update my software and its saying verification failed because I am no longer connected to the internet but I am successfully connected to the wifi at home. is it my phone or my internet connection? I have never had this problem updating my iphones. any little insight will help

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.1
