iPhone X picture quality

My pictures that have been taken with the flash on have been awful. I got the iPhone X mainly because of how good the camera is supposed to be. It is really bad about giving red eyes and making it hard to fix them and the quality of the picture with the flash in is too grainy and way too bright. It’s sometimes even blurry even after I tap the screen to focus it. I do not know what to do about it. It’s making me hate the phone. Is there a way that I can fix the camera or if I could switch iPhones?
