New MacBook Pro

I have a new MacBook Pro and don't know why I have to keep signing in when I step away for 5 minutes. Can anyone help me?

Go to System Settings -> Security & Privacy, from there you can change the time delay for when it should require your password.

Hi, don't know which MacBook Pro you have, but those models with Touch Bar you can set up fingerprint as your Touch ID and then every signing in is pretty fast and easy.
