I Can’t sync iTunes songs to iPhone X. How to do it?

I’ve googled it and tried but it doesn’t allow me to sync. When I click on my device I’m itunes and click on music under settings, it doesn’t show me any songs that I can sync. All it says is sync voice memos.

Sync ITunes with IPhone When I click on IPhone icon in upper left of ITunes screen, then click on Summary below, then on Music, the window does not appear to the imediate right (as per Help instructions) that would allow me to select and check music selections to be synced. The message that appears simply says "the ICloud Music Library is On", with no further options except to sync voice memos. I can go no farther. Cloud syncing Trying to get ITunes on Windows to sync with my iPhone X. It syncs but when I go to the song on my iPhone, it says "To play it here, go to iTunes and turn on cloud syncing". I cannot find that anywhere and when you go to the music in setting in iTunes for my iPhone, there is only an option to sync voice memos. Help!
