Having so much trouble with Channel 4 on demand?

It glitches all the time, stopping and starting and it also just freezes when I try and put it full screen.

I know that all my friends with MacBook Pro's have the same issue.

Help please?

Some types of videos won't play Videos served from TikTok, Twitter or Vimeo sites will not load and playback. The initial image of the video will load, and audio will play with periodic stops. It appears to be trying to load enough data to continue playing. As long as I am patient, the audio will continue. The image, on the other hand, remains frozen on the initial image. Note that videos from Paramount+, Peacock, Disney, etc. will play, as will all YouTube videos. So far, I have only found the 3 types of videos listed above that won't play. I am running: MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017) macOS Monterey 12.6.1 8 GB Memory 250 GB SSD with 41.1 free space My internet connection is provided by Spectrum @ "up to 400 Mbps", which tests to 140 Mbps *while the soccer match is streaming* to the Apple TV. I have no trouble streaming the entertainment services listed above under these conditions. I am connected to the Spectrum modem through a LinkSys WRT 3200ACM running ExpressVPN. I have already tried taking the VPN offline and viewing the videos. the performance does not change. Again, note that only certain sources of videos do not play. All "major entertainment" sources play just fine, all of the time. Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Video lag, freeze, stutter on upgraded el capitan mid 2009 MBP Researched but can't figure out why my Macbook Pro can't handle some functions even though I've upgraded. Constantly lagging/freezing when trying to stream live sports even when I have the option to choose lowest quality. Sometimes lagging with Youtube1080p or 720p 60fps. Can watch stored videos with VLC but always has trouble with rewind & ff (freezes, usualy lags for 3 or more seconds - sometimes only hear audio when this occurs). Can't watch 4k which is understandable. Specs: (15-inch, Mid 2009), 10.11.6 (15G22010), 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3. Corsair Neutron GTX SSD 128 GB runs apps. 2nd internal Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB runs saved media, docs, etc. NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB. New thermal paste last yr. Any troubleshooting ideas would be appreciated.
