Is it safe to delete a user account on a Mac without messing up the user on another computer?

My daughter has moved out of our home with her own MacBook and no longer needs her account on our family Mac. She doesn't need any of the files or anything, so I am wanting to delete her account in order to free up space for the rest of us. Since her accounts are connected through her apple ID at least loosely, I want to make sure that deleting her user account on the Mac will not in any way affect her account on her MacBook. In other words, am I going to be deleting anything important? In fact, I would like to know exactly what I am deleting.

Thank you for your help!!

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), iOS 8.4, also have iPads

You will be deleting her entire account which consists of everything located in her Home folder. Disconnect the computer from the Internet before deleting her account.

You need to log into your Admin account. Open Users & Groups preferences, click on the lock icon and authenticate when prompted. Select her account from the side list. Click on the Delete [-] button at the bottom of the list. When asked choose Option 3 - to completely remove the account from the computer.
