How can I listen to a recording on the Voice Memos App?

I was recording a lecture for about an hour and my phone died before I could save the recording on Apples App, Voice Memos. I charged my phone quick and went back into the app. Recording was still there showing the exact length of time the recording was, but nothing would play when I tried it. Is there anyways to get the audio from that recording?
