Child Apple ID/Ipad

I am trying to set up a new iPad for my daughter. I made her an Apple ID under Family Sharing (because she is under 13) but when I try to log in to the iPad with her Apple ID I am not able to log in? I can log in under my (the family administrator) but I wanted this to keep her apps on her device and mine off of it? Am I doing something wrong here?

Does my account have to be on my child’s iPad? I recently purchased an iPad 7 for my child. Setup family sharing, created her own iCloud account amend everything. But when I initially set it up, I set it up as “my iPad” then added her’s.. Does my account have to be on her iPad for family sharing to work properly? I really would like to remove my account completely and just manage family sharing on my own iPad if possible. Any input is appreciated. Thanks
