iphone 5 keeps saying connect to itunes

My iphone 5 was dead for a year, now got it fixed, it saying iphone disabled connect to itunes. I tried holding the power button and the home button and manged to update it but after that still its showing that and my laptop is saying to allow access respond to your phone. What do i do im so frustrated with apple

If it is an iPhone 5 which tops out at iOS10 then it can work with iTunes 12.5.1.21 or later.

Yes it does i also have iphone 7 which i use with the same itunes on my lap
