Question: Low quality annotation on iPad in Keynote

I'm trying to annotate slides while presenting live. I'm using Keynote on a laptop Mac as the main presentation device, an iPad Pro, and Apple Pencil.

Keynote Remote on the iPad has this functionality built-in (https://support.apple.com/kb/PH18369?locale=en_US). However, it has poor quality. I can only annotate using a fairly thick pen, and even then, it's not pressure sensitive and often comes out looking pixellated if I don't move the pen quickly enough. See screenshots below comparing drawing in Notes vs. Keynote Remote.

In Keynote, it comes out looking like I'm in kindergarten.

Any solution? Any app that allows me to draw on my iPad with higher quality?
