Depending on the model HP OfficeJet/Pro printer you have, there should be

set-up instructions with official documentation inside the original carton. Also

the HP customer support site would allow you to get digital manuals, drivers

and also find any other resources they may offer for support services.

Because you would need to use a specific product to get more from their site

that information (model number etc) should be available when you look there.

and troubleshooting information for your HP Officejet Printers

Some general information I found from HP support does not cover your issue;

however if you have previously functional HP printer, to check ink supplies for

adequate quantities and also run their print head cleaning utility to check the

output of ink; this can test and print all colors. IF the unit had been stored with

a cartridge in place, it may have dried out. ~ The ink-jet cleaning cycle can be

useful to attempt to make old cartridges work again. I've done it with old ink.

{HP Support links failed to stay correct after posting; so finally I removed them all}

And the settings, that may vary with drivers for each OS and application, need

to be looked into; because a newer operating system may or may not see the

printer as original documentation presented it, the results may vary in use later.

As a last resort, you may need to get a new printer; depending on the issue.
