App specific passwords

Hi

Outlook on my windows laptop requires me to log back in to my apple account, which mean using the 'app specific password'.

Is it correct that I need to regenerate a new app specific password, or can I reapply an old one? If I can reapply the old one, how do I see the password for an old entry in the 'view history' list under security in 'Manage your apple Id'? All I can see at the moment is a list of labels but not the passwords associated to them.

If I have to generate a new ID then it means I have to remember the generated password and apply it all my devices (phone, ID, desktop, laptop) at the same time, which is a pain if I don't have access to all devices when I generate the password.

Am I missing something?
